Clean Growing, Thoughtful Sourcing, Total Transparency
From our greenhouse to your garden, we grow most of our plants right here—and when we can’t, we work with reputable growers we know and trust.

Not Certified Organic—Just Grown Right

At Summit Sprouts, our roots run deep in the Hayden community. We’re proud to grow the majority of our plants right here on-site—including vegetables, herbs, and other edible crops—using sustainable practices that prioritize soil health, plant vitality, and environmental responsibility.

We get asked often: Are your plants certified organic?

The short answer is no. But the longer answer is more important—and more intentional.

Why Not Certified Organic?

While we embrace the principles of organic growing, formal certification comes with complex challenges: steep costs, strict documentation, and time-consuming audits. For small growers like us, the process often diverts resources away from the very thing we care about most—growing great plants.

Rather than chase a label, we’ve chosen to invest directly in responsible, transparent practices. That means you can walk into our greenhouse and know exactly how your plants were grown—no guesswork, no greenwashing.

How We Grow Responsibly

We grow nearly all of our edible plants ourselves, so we know every step of their journey—from seed to sale. Here’s what that looks like:

Minimal chemical input – We avoid synthetic pesticides and fertilizers as much as possible. When intervention is necessary, we use organic-approved products mindfully and sparingly.

Natural pest control – We invite in ladybugs, lacewings, and other beneficial insects, using companion planting and other ecosystem-friendly strategies.

Healthy soil = healthy plants – We build our soil for long-term vitality, not just short-term growth.

Pollinator-safe practices – Our plants are raised in an environment that welcomes bees, butterflies, and beneficial wildlife.

You won’t find a certified organic label on our plants—but you will find intention, integrity, and deep care in every tray.

Labels Don’t Tell the Whole Story

The truth is, “organic” doesn’t always mean chemical-free, and “local” doesn’t always mean responsibly grown. That’s why we’ve committed to something better than a label: an open-door policy, honest growing, and a community-first mindset.

We believe in empowering our customers with knowledge and inviting them into the process. Whether you’re growing food for your family or flowers for your porch, we want you to feel confident in what you’re bringing home.

Summit Sprouts: Local. Transparent. Grown with care.
